Kata Beach

Went to Kata Beach. Again, it was beautiful.  This time we went with a big group of people that are going to be in my class so it was fun getting to know people some more.  Ate a delicious lunch once again and on the way back at the bus stop there was some street festival going on with tons of food vendors, people selling stuff and music.  Apparently it's the turtle festival or something, we couldn't quite figure it out.  Another dinner with the group and an early night to bed as we start our class in the morning.

rocky shores

Swimming with the fishies!
There were all sorts of tropical fish in this little area that would swim all around you.  We met an older lady from Denmark who spends several holidays in Phuket and knew to bring bread for them to eat right out of her hands.

elephants everywhere

Here are some of the 'festival' pics from the festival that was on our way back....

so many food vendors

yes, those are bugs. yes, they are for eating.

Roaches or maggots?

After those bugs, these squid things actually seem edible.
